Maintenance Foreman

HWN Energy, Ltd. is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title: Maintenance Foreman
Location: Whitecourt, AB
Reports to: Director of Field Operations

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Foreman to join our team HWN Energy Ltd. In this role, you will oversee maintenance operations for our facilities and equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians and collaborate closely with other departments to support our operational goals.

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide day to day leadership for field Maintenance operations for HWN properties.
  • Ensure HWN’s standards with respect to HSE and operating procedures are followed and implemented.
  • Organize group meetings to keep staff on a common platform and working towards common goals.
  • Co-ordinating tasks through the group through processes and procedures to ensure an effective workflow and maximizing results at the end of the day.
  • Scheduling and coordination of some of the mechanical activities in the areas.
  • Ensure dealings with contractors and joint venture partners are handled in a professional, ethical, and effective manner ensuring contractor & service work is conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and that field work is consistent with HWN’s HS&E requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a positive culture in line with HWN executive direction.
  • Conduct and promote a safety culture across our Maintenance operations.
  • Support Operations in implementation of programs.
  • Assist with budget process for operating capital and operating costs – and working within defined budgets.
  • Plan/Cover Vacation during the year.
  • Other tasks that may be assigned to you by Director of Field Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Millwright or Mechanical designation preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 10 years in a management role.
  • Mechanically inclined with previous mechanical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive organizational change, and deliver results in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and delegate duties efficiently to the team.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety protocols and environmental stewardship principles.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of balancing short-term priorities with long-term objectives.
